Co-opted to the Council: 9th September 2024

I was born and grew up in rural Somerset. My fascination with trucks and driving started as a child and inevitably lead to a long career as a truck driver in the UK and Europe. I particularly enjoyed transporting animals.

My wife and I were also involved in the hospitality industry, running social clubs. We had 2 sons, now both currently working abroad.

Due to a neck injury in an industrial accident in my 50’s  I had to give up truck driving. I found a new challenge working for Yeovil Football Club, a team I had supported since my youth.

After the break up of my first marriage I met Anne, an associate priest and we came to King’s Somborne in 2023. Sadly our relationship broke down and she moved away, but I wanted to stay in the area. I love living in such a vibrant community and have made friends, joined in with lots of village activities and feel I can make a contribution to village life by serving in the Parish Council.
