Co-opted to the Council: 14th April 2025

I served in the Royal Navy as a submariner specialising in navigation and navigated one of the four nuclear deterrent submarines before passing the Submarine Commanding Officers Qualifying Course and going on to command two submarines. My last three years in the Royal Navy were spent in the Ministry of Defence focussing on defence procurement, Naval policy and the introduction of Trident missile system which was the replacement for Polaris.

After leaving the Royal Navy I joined a communications company when social media was in its infancy. From there I moved into advertising, joining Saatchi and Saatchi at the start of the communications revolution.

My final role was running the Royal Warrant Holders Association overseeing those companies, on behalf of the Royal Household, which had been granted a Royal Warrant for supplying products and goods to the respective grantors.

I have lived in King’s Somborne for 4½ years after a nomadic existence moving between England and Scotland. I believe passionately in the community of our village, which I hope to support through being a Parish Councillor using skills that I have acquired during my life.
