Originally from Bridgend in South Wales, Richard moved to the south coast in 2004 and settled in King’s Somborne in 2015, joining the Parish Council in 2017. Having spent eighteen years in the IT industry, Richard is currently a senior engineer for a software company based in Romsey and has previous experience in the telecommunications, financial and government sectors.

As a student, Richard lived in the United States and has also spent portions of his professional career in Cologne and Istanbul.

Richard’s interests include aviation and rugby union. He plays piano as part of jazz trio and can occasionally be found performing in the pubs of Winchester. He is an alumnus of both De Montfort University, Leicester and Georgia College & State University, Milledgeville.
