Reason for standing as a Parish Councillor: 

Knowledge of and strong interest in local affairs and a desire to continue to contribute to the wellbeing of the community at large.

Experience brought to the Council: 

Combined 26 years’ experience as a qualified parish clerk in two local parishes. CEO of a charity with a £3.5m turnover per annum.  Regional secretary of the Abbeyfield Society overseeing all aspects of the management of 67 sheltered houses for the elderly.  Practicing Lawyer specialising in Will Writing and Estate Planning. Trustee and Treasurer of the Somborne & District Society.  28 years in the RAF Administrative Branch retiring as a wing commander with the OBE.  Previous fundraiser for King’s Somborne village Hall.  Director & Company Secretary of a property management company.  Assistant co-ordinator of Somborne Neighbourcare.

Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators – practical experience in legal and financial affairs. Past Fellow of the British Institute of Management and of the Royal Society of Arts – practical experience in human resource management.  Freeman of the City of London – experience in event organisation.  Significant experience in general management, working with constrained budgets, people management, public speaking and getting things done at a variety of levels at home and overseas.
