NO.16 BUS NEWS!!

Direct from HCC....
"Wheelers recently made the commercial decision not to extend their local bus contract with HCC. We have secured a temporary operator to fill this gap in the short term and Stagecoach will be providing the 16 bus service from Monday 6 January 2020. A three month contract has been put in place with Stagecoach who will provide the same timetable as Wheelers do at present. We will be re-tendering the service in the new year, with longer term contracts starting on 6 April 2020."

Local councils have a duty to maintain the roads, but they can only fill a pothole if they know about it.

If you want it repaired, you have to report it. This page is the easy way to report potholes and road defects. We contact the right people to get the roads repaired.

There will be an extra Full Council meeting at 7.30pm on 16th December (after the planning meeting) for 3 pieces of business:

1. To consider the response to be sent to HCC regarding the proposed stoppage of the no. 16 Bus to Winchester. (this has not yet been confirmed to the PC, but we are acting on information from residents)

2. To receive a report on why extra work is required by South Downs on the NDP and to understand what has been done so far.

3. To consider and if appropriate approve the cost of the extra work to be undertaken by South Downs for the NDP.

This will not be a long meeting and item 2 will be a basic update, however if either of the items are important to you, then the Council will be pleased to see you on Monday.
